Moong Dal and Paneer Chila

Ingredients

1. 1/2 cup yellow moong dal (split yellow gram), soaked for 3 to 4 hours
2. Salt to taste
3. A pinch of hing
4. One tsp ginger chilli paste
5. 8 tbsp crumbled low-fat paneer (cottage cheese)
6. 4 tbsp finely chopped coriander (dhania)
7. 1 tsp chaat masala
8. 1-2 tsp oil for greasing and cooking

Directions

1. Combine the moong dal along with little water and blend in a mixer till smooth.
2. Transfer it to a bowl, add the salt, hing and ginger chilli paste and mix well.
3. Heat ¼ tsp of oil in a non-stick tava (griddle) and pour a ladleful of the batter and spread it evenly to make a thin round.
4. Sprinkle 2 tbsp paneer, 1 tbsp coriander and ¼ tsp chaat masala and cook on a medium flame using ½ tsp of oil till they turn golden brown in colour from both the sides.
5. Repeat with the remaining ingredients to make 3 more cheela for your love one’s
6. Serve immediately
