Oats Chiwda

It is a powerhouse of nutrients, containing thiamin, magnesium, phosphorus, Zinc, manganese, selenium, and iron.

Ingredients

1. Oat flakes 1 Cup
2. Rice Flakes 1/2 Cup
3. Chana Dal (Bengal Gram)- Roasted 1/4 Cup
4. Olive Oil 1 Teaspoon
5.Peanuts 20-30 Pieces
6. Curry leaves 10-15 Pieces
7. Green Chillies, Chopped 1 Teaspoon
8. White Sesame Seeds, Roasted 3 Teaspoon
9.Black Sesame Seeds, Roasted 2 Teaspoon
10. Cumin seed Powder 1/2 Teaspoon
11. Coriander seed powder 1/2 Teaspoon
12. Turmeric powder 1/2 Teaspoon
13. Hing (Asafoetida) Powder 2 Pinch
14. Salt to Taste

Directions

1. Roast oats on low flame until they are crisp & light brown.
2.In the same pan, sauté rice flakes on low flame till crisp.
3. Heat oil in a pan, add turmeric heeng, curry leaves and green chilies.
4. Add chopped peanuts and sauté till they are brownish in color.
5. Now add oats, rice flakes, roasted sesame seeds & roasted chana dal along with cumin seed powder, coriander seed powder, salt, and sugar. Mix well.
6. Switch off the gas & serve the chiwda hot. You can also cool it and store it in an airtight container.
